EU Council: entry ban for 14 third countries is lifted - China on observer status

The EU informs:

The EU member states have agreed to end the entry bans imposed on 14 third countries due to the coronavirus crisis as of tomorrow, July 1, 2020. As the EU Council announced today, the entry ban will be lifted for Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay.

In addition, the EU states added China to the list. For China, however, an additional condition is that the country ends its entry ban for EU citizens. The entry bans remain in place for countries with continued high infection rates, such as the USA, Brazil and Russia.

Greece: Pre-registration required for all travelers entering the country

The Greek government informs:

As of July 1, registration on the homepage  https://travel.gov.gr/#/ is mandatory when entering Greece by land, sea and air. Registration must take place at least 48 hours before entry. The QR code issued upon registration will be checked upon entry.

A violation of this obligation is punishable by a fine of 500 euros.

Based on the information provided, a health algorithm calculates whether a test will be carried out on the person in question. The person tested must remain in quarantine until the test result is available. If the test is positive, the person must go to a 14-day home quarantine. A breach of quarantine is punishable by a fine of EUR 5,000.
