UK / Great Britain - Brexit: Visa regulations

Good day, 

The British government has unveiled its future immigration policy:

  • EU citizens currently living and working in the UK and those who come to live and work in the UK before the end of the transitional arrangements in December 2020 will be entitled to permanent resident status. This status must be applied for

  • Applicants for a work and residence visa will need to provide evidence of an annual salary of a certain amount. No salary limit is specified in the current draft. In previous government plans, a salary limit of 30,000 pounds is noted. Furthermore, the applicant's qualifications will be decisive for the granting of work and residence visas.
  • Tourists and visitors from the European Union may continue to enter the country without a visa and stay for up to 3 months. After the transition period, an identity card will no longer be sufficient for entry, but a passport will have to be presented.

    • Iran: Permit instead of a visa sticker

    Good day

    The Iranian Consulate informs:

    Travelers with a single-entry visa will not receive a visa pasted in their passport. The consulate will issue a stamped permit. This permit must always be carried with you when entering and leaving the country and for the duration of your stay. The entry and exit stamp is affixed to the permit. The passport must also be carried at all times when entering and leaving the country and for the duration of the stay.

    We recommend keeping the permit after the end of the trip for possible future trips.
