China - important additions to the visa regulations

The Chinese visa regulations have been supplemented or amended.
The Chinese Consulate informs:
Requirements for the presentation of travel documents when applying for a visa:
- Presentation of the original passport used for the visa application
- Submission of all other valid passports in the original
- Submission of all original travel documents that expired after January 1, 2014
- If an expired passport is no longer available, a written declaration signed by the traveler must be enclosed

- For submission in Munich, a certificate from the municipality, city administration or issuing authority must be enclosed.
Prerequisite for the specification of travel destinations:
- Travelers with a passport with an issue date before January 1, 2014:
- In the visa application point 2.10, detailed information must be provided on past travel destinations in the last 12 months:
- Place & country
- Date of arrival & departure
- Reason for the trip
- Signature of the traveler
Travel to the destinations China, Hong Kong and Taiwan may not be mentioned
Travelers with a passport with an issue date after 1 January 2014:
- In the visa application point 2.10, detailed information on past travel destinations since January 1, 2014 must be provided

- Date of arrival & departure
- Reason for the trip
- Signature of the traveler
A separate attachment to the visa application is automatically created during the application process.

In the visa application point 2.10, detailed information on the past travel destinations of the last 12 months must be provided:
- Place & country
- Date of entry & date of departure
- Reason for the trip
Travel to the destinations China, Hong Kong and Taiwan may not be mentioned.

The Chinese Consulate in Frankfurt informs:
From 03.08.2016, invitations from the provincial government will only be accepted with a barcode. Invitations from the provincial government without a barcode will no longer be accepted from this date.
