USA: from Jan. 26, 2021 entry only with negative Covid-19 test

US Consulate informs:

From January 26, 2021 travelers must provide the airline with a negative COVID-19 test (PCR test or antigen test) must be presented (electronically or in paper form), which must not be more than three days old . Persons who have been infected with COVID-19 within three months prior to departure must provide the airline with appropriate evidence.

An additional COVID-19 test within three to five days of entry and a minimum quarantine period of seven days are strongly recommended.

    European Union: New info app on health situation, quarantine and travel rules in Europe

    From December 14, 2020, interested parties will be able to download the new EU Corona app with the most important information about COVID-19 in the EU member states and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland onto their cell phones. Users receive up-to-date information on the health situation, quarantine measures, testing requirements and coronavirus warning apps.

    The app is available free of charge on all Android and iOS devices.

    China: Addition of a confirmation of urgency

    The Chinese Consulate informs:

    From Dec. 11, 2020, the following document must be attached to the visa application documents:

    Certificate of urgency

    • informal, issued by the inviting company in China
    • in Chinese language
    • Explanation of the urgency
    • Reason for the choice of the person traveling
    • Colored, clearly legible copy

    The confirmation of urgency is issued by the inviting company in addition to the invitation.

    China: Introduction of online certification of health declarations

    China Embassy informs:

    Due to the latest regulation of the Chinese government, foreign passengers traveling to China by scheduled flight from and via Germany are required to apply for required health declarations online from November 16, 2020. Applicants are asked to register via PCs or smartphones at http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/  (please keep your username and password for future login) and fill out the online form with the requested information, report your health status and upload negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-cancer test results. The Chinese diplomatic missions in Germany will check and notarize the documents. The notarized health declaration (electronic version) will be sent to the applicant's registered account in the form of a QR code with an "HDC" indicator (see attachment). This large QR code must be presented on a smartphone or in printed paper form when boarding.

    Attention: From November 23, 2020 the health declaration previously requested by email and returned stamped in printed form will no longer be accepted.

    India: new guidelines for arriving foreign travelers

    India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informs:

    • Persons traveling to India must submit a self-declaration form at least 72 hours before their scheduled travel time or on arrival at the relevant health counter via the online portal https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration target="_blank"> .
    • International passengers who arrive without a negative Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and wish to apply for an exemption from institutional quarantine may undergo RT-PCR testing at airport facilities.
    • International passengers arriving without an RT-PCR negative certificate who do not opt for RT-PCR testing at airport facilities or arrive at airports where RT-PCR testing facilities are not available;facilities are not available must undergo a mandatory seventh-day institutional quarantine followed by a seventh-day home quarantine.
    • International passengers arriving at seaports or land ports are subject to the same protocol, with the exception that the online portal is currently not available to these passengers. Instead, they must submit their self-declaration form to the authorities at the seaport/land port upon arrival.
    • Indian states may impose additional restrictions based on their own field assessments.
