Saudi Arabia embassy informed:

Since 05.10.2020 business visas for Saudi Arabia can be applied for again. Appointments are currently only available at the Consular Proivder in Berlin for Monday and Thursday afternoons.

The necessary invitations must be made out to the Embassy in Berlin. The embassy only accepts invitations issued after 15.09.2020.

A negative Covid-19 test must not be more than 48 hours before departure.

China again allows direct flights from 8 countries to Beijing, including Austria

China will allow foreign direct flights to Beijing again from tomorrow, September 3, 2020. According to Reuters, an initial eight countries will be allowed to fly to the Chinese capital. These include Sweden, Greece, Denmark, Canada, Thailand, Cambodia, Pakistan and Austria. However, only citizens with a primary residence in the respective country are permitted direct entry.

China: mandatory testing for China travel from Aug. 30, 2020

Based on the joint regulation issued by the Central Bureau of Civil Aviation, Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China on July 20 and its approval, the Chinese diplomatic missions in Germany are instructed to announce the introduction of the corona test requirement as of August 30, 2020. August 2020 for all passengers traveling to China from and via Germany before departure. All travelers to China are urged to note the following:

I. Passengers traveling from Frankfurt a.M. to China on a direct flight or charter flight can be tested at the Centogene test center at Frankfurt a.M. Airport and are then allowed to board directly upon presentation of the negative test results to the airline.

However, if the corona tests are carried out at other German test centers, these tests must be carried out within 3 calendar days before departure to China and their negative test results must be certified online by the respective Chinese diplomatic mission by submitting their test results with travel documents to the airline;by sending their test results with passport copies and completed and signed health declarations by e-mail to Chinese missions abroad (depending on the location of the test site to the embassy or one of the 4 consulates general) at least 24 hours before departure, even at weekends. After a quick verification process, passengers will receive the health declarations stamped, print them out, take them to the airport and show them to the airline before boarding.

II. all passengers flying from Hamburg to China via Frankfurt a.M. can have their corona tests done at the Centogene test center at Hamburg Airport. Upon presentation of these test results, passengers will be allowed to board the flight at Frankfurt Airport.

III All passengers flying to China from Germany but via a third country are subject to the same testing obligation and procedure as described above and must present the valid document at the transit airport before flying to China.

IV. For passengers flying from other countries to China via Frankfurt am Main, the corona tests must take place in the first country of departure and be certified by Chinese diplomatic missions in the country of departure. Passengers may only continue their flight to China upon presentation of these certificates at Frankfurt Airport.

V. It is important to note that the test results are only valid if the tests are carried out within five calendar days before departure to China.
