Cyprus: Pre-registration required for all arrivals
30/06/2020 11:50

Based on the development of the Covid 19 pandemic, the Cypriot government has categorised states in a list, reviews it weekly and adjusts the categorisation if necessary.
Germany is currently in category A and therefore, there are no restrictions for travellers from Germany. Upon arrival in Cyprus, temperature measurements are to be expected and Covid-19 tests can also be carried out - at random - on travellers. In addition, a covid-19 test will be carried out on all passengers on arrival on selected flights. This also applies if a negative test result was presented upon arrival.
In addition, passengers must register online before departure to receive a Cyprus Flight Pass. For this purpose, a questionnaire must be completed online and a far-reaching waiver of liability towards the Republic of Cyprus in respect of COVID-19 disease must be declared. The 'Flight Pass' must be printed out and carried on the flight. Only persons over 65 years of age may fill in the questionnaire by hand, it will be provided at the flight desk.

Entry restrictions continue to apply to travellers coming from Germany who, in the 14 days prior to their arrival in Cyprus, have stayed in a country that does not belong to category A on the list or who, on their journey to Cyprus, have transited through a country that does not belong to category A. In this case, a COVID 19 test must be proved on entry. Depending on where the last 14 days before entry were spent, a two-week post-entry quarantine may also be required.

Entry into the northern part of the island which is not under effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus ("Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus TRNZ") should be possible again from 1 July 2020 for travellers from certain countries, including Germany.

Some crossings over the demarcation line (Green Line) are open again, but only for certain groups and not tourists. A negative COVID-19 test is required for the crossing.
