India: electronic visa application for business trips and medical purposes possible again

Application for electronic visas of the categories business visa, conference visa, visa for medical purposes is possible again.

Excluded are visas for tourists and for assembly work. In this case, applications must be made in advance via the consulate.

Russia: submission of all visa categories possible

Russian consulate informs:

By order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 31.03.2021 N 814-r, Germany was included in the list of states whose citizens can enter Russia via air checkpoints. This means that citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany and other foreign nationals and stateless persons who hold a residence permit or other document confirming the right to permanent residence in Germany can obtain visas of any category (including tourist and business visas);including tourist and business visas by direct invitation) and flash visas, provided that they enter the Russian Federation by air on one of the regular passenger flights from Germany.

Note: The invitation must be issued after April 1, 2021. Invitations for multiple entries must be presented in the original.

South Korea - Application in Berlin: delayed processing time

The Visa Center Süd Korea informs:

Please note that the Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) in Berlin, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Berlin, will temporarily suspend all in-person services at the KVAC due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Germany and the latest regulations of the Berlin authorities. Appointment allocation and the personal return of travel documents at the KVAC will unfortunately be suspended until further notice.

Visa applications can still be made via the DVKG.
